JOB SUMMARY

We’re seeking an ambitious and visionary Head of Data & Analytics to lead our data strategy, transform data into actionable insights, and drive impact through data-driven decision making across all areas of the business.

As the Head of Data and Analytics, you will be responsible for leading and managing the entire data and analytics function. You will lead a team of data professionals and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to unlock value through our analytics capabilities.

Your primary objective will be to champion data-driven decision-making and develop effective data strategies and tools that support business growth and optimisation.

 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Define and execute a company-wide data strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Stay current with emerging data technologies and practices and recommend strategic adoption.

  • Oversee data integration, architecture, and infrastructure for scalability and performance.

  • Establish and maintain a data governance framework to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.

  • Lead the analysis of complex data sets to generate insights and guide strategic decisions.

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualisations to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Manage prioritisation and delivery processes for analytics projects and requests.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Performance Marketing, Engineering, Product, Finance, and Operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data and analytics into business processes.

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing analytics team with a strong learning culture.

  • Foster cross-team knowledge sharing and promote a data-first organisational mindset.

Job requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A relevant degree in Engineering, Econometrics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business or related fields

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the field of Business Intelligence, and at least 4 years in a leadership role

 

SKILLS

  • Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in data and analytics tools and technologies such as SQL, Power BI, Looker, BigQuery, Redshift or similar platforms. Working knowledge of statistical modelling, machine learning, and advanced analytics is advantageous.

  • Analysis and Insights: Ability to analyse, interpret, and visualise data effectively. Skilled in identifying trends and extracting actionable insights, simplifying complex findings for effective communication.

  • Data Strategy and Management: Experience developing and executing data strategies, including governance, data quality, integration, and overseeing data acquisition, storage, security and privacy.

  • Project Management: Strong skills in managing and delivering projects, including planning, prioritisation, communication, and resource coordination.

  • Team Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams of analysts and data professionals to deliver measurable impact. Demonstrated ability to mentor, support professional development, and build high-performing teams.

  • Business Acumen and Curiosity: Quick to understand various business models and industry dynamics. Able to align data initiatives with strategic and operational objectives.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including executives, technical teams, and functional heads. Skilled in presenting complex information clearly and concisely.
